CSIS (Canada intelligence / our CIA) published a report to the PM and I guess whoever is privy to CSIS data in his cabinet which said, without question, several high ranking members of his government were being plied with spy kitty, mostly Chinese spy kitty, thus putting our national secrets at great risk.
Justin Hairdoo ignored it, either thought it was NBD or that they deserved asian spy kitty. CSIS analysts were so concerned that they went to the media and made their concerns public.
What happened with it? Nothing. IIRC Justin said it was "his prerogative" to decide what to do with the information and act or not act appropriately and that "other governments have done the same or worse" in the past in the same situations.
