I'm a service provider in Winnipeg. I met my landlord as a client, he promised me I could rent this house is I spent more time with him so I did. Time went on he sent the rental application all was well but he told me that we had to make everything (paystubs etc.) all had to look legit because his girlfriend did all the paperwork and what not. He tried to go back on his work saying he was having second thoughts about renting me the house and that he doesn't think he's comfortable. So I explained to him that he promised me something and If he didn't follow through I would tell his wife what happened between me and him. He said that he in fact wasn't going back on his word and was just expressing his concerns and that we would keep it strictly business from then on. I then signed a lease, I've been here since the 1st of September, on Monday at 9:01 pm I received a message from the landlord

Darn this good. Wish i could see her replies. I'm amazed at how so many people are so comfortable with conflict even when it comes to fighting for a place to sleep.

A lot of those people you know who talk like the world is always against them? They're not acting, they literally think they have to fight and scrape every little thing to get their small place in the world. They don't, or course, but rational people steer clear of their insanity so they think it works.
Which i guess it kinda does.
