!bookworms do you ever do this?

Pretty sure Amazon just resells the books as used, for a cheaper price

You'd think the anti capitalist redditors would look fondly on this

Super scummy. People are cheap fricks apparently.

One thing is being cheap and buy things on sale or not wanting to buy stuff, but this is beyond being cheap, this is pretty much stealing.

You must consoom often and you must buy stuff at full price or you're just a cheap cabagebutt :marseysoyjak:

I agree that this is unethical and disappointing. How to handle it going forward really depends on how much you value your friendship.

Lmao redditors keep finding more and more absurd reasons to throw their friendships away :marseyemojirofl:

Purchasing an item with the intent to use it and return it for full price is probably technically stealing, and isn't at all comparable to just waiting for an item to go on sale before purchasing it.

I mean it's Amazon so it doesn't really matter. I know people who will buy a phone on Amazon, return a literal fricking brick, and be like "yeah i dunno there was a brick in the box when i got it :marseyteehee: ". In comparison, this book thing is irrelevant. And even then, I didn't cut all contact with the people doing this... although I'll make note of it and never lend them anything lol.

I avoid this moral dilema by simply pirating any book I find interesting. Why bother with grey areas when you could just steal it? :marseyconfused:

I agree that it's shit behaviour but the 'it's no big deal they have insurace :soyreddit: ' crowd on reddit has no right to complain about it.

You caused a 0.0000000000001% dip in Amazon's EPS

Basically a fricking Nazi. Friendship over.

Then they'll post about how lonely and suicidal they are because everyone in their life was a toxic abuser so they had to cut off contact :marseyhammersnoo:

That's an extra 0.0000000000001% of Amazon's revenue that could've been donated to trans charities.

This is no laughing matter

At that point piracy is better for the author. :marseyindignant:

so lame and gay
