Opted for the paperback myself which I don't do but it seemed more fitting for the material and I don't regret it. These are extremely high quality paperbacks with very nice heavy duty glossy pages, well-bound and with beautiful illustrations. Haven't checked the others yet but the first one has a really illuminating 20-page preface by Watterson explaining his life and how he ended up doing C&H and early, unpublished works and also pictures of his cat.

Im still genuinely suprised that america never had a disney comic book series, like you guys had Duck Tales but in most of europe we have the comic books, where every edition is several stories, usually short and sweet disconnected ones, sometimes episodic, but with usually the same themes
the most unique out of the italian ones is by far "Paperinik", where donald duck is effectively Batman but poor and unlucky, and his gadgets are made by Archimede Pitagorico (the itlian name for Gyro Gearloose, which is an infinitely worse name), theres even several long episodic stories of many kinds, involving anything from leagues of superheroes and villains, all played by other classic characters, or interesting sci-fi ones that get more serious, it's good shit
