JK Rowling is a better writer than people give her credit for.
Likewise, Neil Gaiman is absolutely insufferable.
Not only is DFW by far the most important writer of the current and last century, he's also most likely the best.
Schopenhauer, Kafka and Weininger would be shitposting in incel forums right now (sneedman, myself ,anarcho).
Most books written before the 19th century are very hard to read and understand. People pretend to get them but they most likely miss a lot of contemporary context and stuff.
