Overrated authors thread

Cormac McCarthy by far. People jerk themselves off about his “prose” just because he uses big words that nobody knows. Boring books where he spends so much time talking about people walking through sand and creosote that he forgets to actually tell a story. No country is his only good book because we got a good movie out of it (no thanks to him). Also the 3rd book of the ponies trilogy was good because it's was cool when all the main characters joined forces like in Avengers.
