So I just went through :marseylongpost: some of the lore wiki articles for warhammer 40K :marsey40k: and it didn't feel that interesting :marseymid:.

I'm not going to play the games (not THAT much of a manchild) or read the books(I know they're slop), so I thought reading their lore would be a good way to pass the time but even that didn't seem all that well thought out. It's like they came up with a lot of cool concepts/premises but didn't bother to flesh it out beyond that :marseyshrug:.

This isn't the "neurodivergent world building" that nerds promised me :grr:. Worst part was how underdeveloped the "God Emperor" :marseyemperor: himself was.

The game was more geared towards "your dudes" with the setting being more mysterious and uncertain. Lots of homebrew and kitbashing was encouraged and showcased on white :marseyokay: dwarf :marseymanlet: editorials where :marseydrama: the game designers would :marseymid: comment :marseysoypointdubz: on their favourites. There's a lot of missed opportunities in Warhammer. The utter disgrace of the Eldar line using the same resin kits for 20 YEARS. Plus Chaos :marseynurgle: just being the Imperium but more spikey now is  The sourcebooks mention loads of gross :marseybreastcancer: mutant freaks and demon :marseydevil: worshipping Xenos but the models don't show it. The Traitors still being staunchly anti-xenos is r-slurred :marseyshitforbrains: considering they've broken :marseybox: every taboo with their DEMON :marseybegoneprot: WORHSIP :marseyeyeroll2: "I may worship :marseyquadsconfused: the manifestation of Evil but Xenos are too far mate! :marseykhorne:" !chuds
