I own a few ethnic perspective books, my favorite being, "Why Are All the Black Kids Sitting At the Same Table?" "Being White" was a gag gift that I have yet to read, but it seems promising lmao

The first book is very all-ages, so I've enjoyed re-reading it throughout my teenage to current age. You hone your own perspectives each time you read this sort of work. I particularly like how I'm able to laugh internally at the extra-formal explanations of privilege politics and still appreciate the educational value in terms of the socio-economical and social content of the book. It's akin to reading Sedaris books- you laugh, your heart aches, and you expand your internal understandings without feeling like you're trying or putting up pretense. It is a genuinely good book. :marseybow:

How is furry capitalist? The fandom is based almost exclusively around content and characters created by members. The artwork and costumes are made within the community. The conventions are nonprofit, and give heavily to charities. Furry culture is heavily socialist, my dude.
