I can warmly recommend Cursor, a VS Code clone with built in AI. Just writes busywork for you, autocompletes code and refactors ugly code for you, is a personal assistant if you get stuck or confused

At least when you're code reviewing jrs you can at least think of what their thought process to get to that stage might have been but LLMs love to do really subtle and hard to spot bugs. Even that code you posted would prob get glossed over in a thousand line file unless you're rubber duck debugging.
