Only 1.6 percent of Black people reported using psilocybin compared to 12.3 percent of white people, according to a study published in the Journal of Psychedelic Studies using 2018 National Survey on Drug Use and Health data.

“It’s crazy, the stigma,” said Mani Draper, one of Williams’ friends, at dinner, explaining that for a long time his perception was, “It’s some white boy shit.”
