Ever since goombling was introduced people stopped using awards as much. Mostly it's powerusers and jannies pinning gay metadrama posts.
The casino games should have some kind of chance to give you an award (even if you lose?). Then people would still have awards to give even if they use all of their DC on rigged blackjack.

Maybe for slots, but it doesn't really make sense for blackjack or roulette. Reducing inflation because everyone is a degenerate gambler is a feature, not a bug.
