You guys all know the meme "copium", right?
It represents a person who is coping about something by inhaling a gas named "copium" from a gas tank. This is clearly a play on the words "cope" and "helium", right? It's meant to be a helium gas tank. Right?
Well not according to the internet. According to the internet, it's meant to be "opium". Opium? What?
https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/copium
Blend of cope (“delusion, coping mechanism”) + opium. First cited usage points back to the album entitled Copium released by American rapper Keak da Sneak in 2003. The term was popularized in 2020 by a reaction image of Pepe the Frog hooked up to a tank labeled "copium".[1] Sometimes reanalyzed as cope + -ium.

“Copium” is a combination of “cope” and “opium” often used to tell someone that they're in denial about something.
Are these people insane? Literally 99.99% of all variations of this meme involve inhaling copium from a gas tank. You don't inhale opium from a gas tank. You smoke opium in the backroom of a Chinese brothel. Did Mr. da Sneak's album Copium talk about opium so this somehow got mixed up, or do people say it's opium simply because the word copium includes opium?
