A foid (what else) teacher got a pupil to send her some nude pics of one of her pupils (which were shared in class) so she could report them to the police. It was honestly a pretty clear case of her wanting to do the right thing in protecting & helping her pupils. But in doing so obviously obtained the pics and had them on her device when she reported it to the police. So she was on the hook of possession of cp.

And since the laws were written in a way that you get a minimum penalty the teacher was sentenced and everyone (judges, lawyers, police, ..) involved said "This is a stupid decision, but the law is the law and we just cannot overrule the law when we want." So the law was changed that there is no longer a minimum sentence to not punish people who do the right thing.

That said I always wondered why she wasn't pardoned by Steinmeier. Pretty clear case and was public enough
