Everyone who says "its not real" is an idiot because nobody claims it is. If photorealistic cp was made legal, it would mean real cp would be even harder to prosecute. Every p-do caught with real cp would just claim it was faked, and then the cops would have to waste resources proving it wasn't. How much real cp would pedos be able to get away with just because cops couldn't prove it wasn't fake? How much real cp would be shared on porn sites under the claim that it was AI? But I guess that's what all those chomos in that thread wants to happen. :marseywoodchipper2:

Not to say I agree that AI CSAM should be legal (it shouldn't) but it wouldn't be hard to argue that the burden of proof that the images were AI generated would fall on the defense, not on the State to prove otherwise.

Personally I don't think it should be because I think it contributes to normalizing real child s*x abuse and incites pedos to go after the real thing, but it's not a very good argument to use because the science isn't definite on it.

Cursed point, but why would pedos opt for real cp if the ai-generation gets to that point? Why risk life in prison chasing "real" images if not even specialized software can't detect the difference. This means humans obviously couldn't either.

Maybe the cp market would just vanish overnight, completely losing it's value?

I personally stick to the conservative point of :marseywoodchipper2:, but it's a brave new world out there.

Eh, as far as I know photorealistic cp is legal in Japan, and pedos there still buy chaku-ero and junior model media instead of keeping themselves to just fictional stuff, looks to me that if anything legal loli in Japan has normalized pedophilia in the culture.

This is a very interesting and good counterpoint.

Three rebutals:

a) Japans p-do problems is one big complex nasty can of worms that is not always applicable to other societies, since the culture is very different. I am not even sure if their fricked up culture even leads to more grooming, and if it doesn't that it's not because of some other Japanese cultural quirk.

b) AI-slop is very new and if my above hypothesis holds it will take time to manifest.

c) You mention other legal avenues, if these were illegal, would the Nihongoloids still persue them illegally? And if they wouldn't, is this just because Japan is a very law-abiding society? Like 2% of the population has smoked weed compared to +30% for western societies.

TLDR: Pessimistic preliminary evidence, but hard to apply because Japan is a freak nation.

Yeah I agree the science isn't settled on if legal loli leads to real pedophilia (I think that was your point? Sorry if I missed it I'm tired :marseyyawn:), it's just how it looks to me personally. In the west we have Shadman :marseypedosnipe: and his audience who went after real kids when they could just have stuck to fictional children.
