Men of rdrama, what's your go to work boot?

Been buying Wolverine's for 5 years or so but after 3 months my lastest pair is falling apart when they're normally good for a year.

I want slip on with a composite toe, no steel to avoid airport hassle and need good grip on metal decking.

Irish Setter Wingshooters are the best work boot and it's not even close.

Been wearing the king toe from Redwing on and off since 2019. Soles are destroyed but the rest of the boot has another 2-3 years left, haven't gotten around to getting them fixed. I'm pretty sure they have a non-metal hard toe variant. Stock soles are slip-resistant

They look like they'll fit the bill.

I wear a 12 ASIC running shoe but I gotta have a wolverine 13, how do they compare to your trainers as the bongs would say.

Red wings are easy as frick to resole, so if the uppers are lasting they're a good bet

I usually stick with Keen or Sketchers bc they are available in big sizes + wide and tend to always fit the same. Switch out the stock laces for lock laces or whatever.

What do you do that makes them worth that price and how long do they last?

Wildfire. I go through a set of soles a year but I'm a madman. I also have the honey soles. I usually wear them flat by the end of the season which is great so I can slide around on the polished concrete like ice skates
