Green energy is such a meme

Yeah let's cover entire mountains in solar panels, destroying all life and flora in the entire area, mine another whole chunk of earth to produce the panels and then act surprised when a bit of bad weather fricks them all

I mean, it can probably be used better but it's difficult to make an efficient product when the entire thing is funded by infinite government money and it has no direct competition because the govenment just declares the best alterative as 'not green'

I like this tech more for self reliant homes, if their efficiency can be improved and battery tech gets better. They should push more money into actual research before forcing new tech on us

Are you r-slurred? You think Jeet construction is representative of a global industry?

I mean if it's so good, take down all the subsides and see how many people use them :marseyindignant:

In my country the solar panels have like a 50% off deal with the gov paying for half the shit, and still barely anyone uses them lol

Unless there's a massive advance in battery technology you'd need an ungodly amount of batteries to make that practical in any way. Global battery production is 2,600 GWh a year, the US alone used 3,750,000 GWh last year

Do you think they haven't been trying?
