If the plaintiff wins there is a really good chance insurance companies will either stop covering SRS under 18 or take other actions to similar effect (eg. Even if the cost of procedure is covered on the patient side, if medical liability insurance stops covering the doctors, it's over). One trial level decision doesnt matter but if there is an appeal the plaintiff wins, or even just a handful of successful trial level cases, insurers will take note
So this is potentially very dramatic
