What I'm wondering is why wouldn't he have used explosives if he seriously wanted to cause damage. Considering how much money and work is needed to just get those firearms, let alone use them at a non-stop rate of fire from multiple points, why wouldn't he make a few explosives to launch? Guides on how to make such things are widely available, much more so than the aforementioned non-stop firing at a rate higher than the rifles he had from multiple points.
