Global agricultural productivity is way behind being able to sustain current population growth globally

https://globalagriculturalproductivity.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/2023-GAP_Executive-Summary_FINAL.pdf

Main point being:

" Sub- Saharan Africa and the United States show especially low TFP growth. During 2011–2021, global TFP grew at an average of just 1.14 percent annually. To sustainably meet the agricultural needs of a growing global population by 2050, we must now aim for 1.91 percent average annual TFP growth. "

Humanity is off by 0.7-0.8%

That's 10's of millions of extra people that won't have enough food available for them.

This is likely also what is causing food prices to rise globally.

Global population growth needs to be kept down to 0.05%.

Just enough to keep growing, but so low that every other thing being developed provides for way more than base needs for everyone.
