Is anyone really using that yet? I see people saying you can find them there instead but they keep posting on twitter

Search and tagging is fricked from what I heard, if you are an art account unless you are getting retweeted skied by the one big art account then no one is going to see your shit.

Such is the way with weekend projects that claim they'll kill twitter.

Soundcloud has been around for a decade and STILL hasn't implemented any (useful) form of tagging and their search is still worthless. It's had the bluesky problem for it's entire existence in that you can only find songs through autsits who spend a shitton of time curating lists. (And bluesky has yet to have a population of autists curating their timelines)

Twitch has tagging and doesn't let you filter tags you don't want to see.

The answer is pretty fricking easily. Pretty amazing shit like boorus solved this problem forever ago.

I'm not even a pro web dev and I implemented a tag system in like a day for 14,000 items .. and tags have been around since forever it's not like it's some new concept. Basically: no excuse. At least none for a basic search. Tbh I think if tag searching is weak it's because there's either stuff on there they aren't keeping up with (in terms of moderation), or it's intentional (they want to control the feed in some other way using some algorithm)
