It's not the housing costs. It's the interest rates. I just saw a ninja saying they signed a mortgage at 8% this month. Holy shit I thought mine was bad. I pay $3000/month in interest alone. I'm waiting anxiously to refinance but know that it'll be a few years first.

lol well, actually I do. I built my niece and sis a room and I have a pool, but my niece never uses her room so now it's storage and might become my treadmill room.
I also had to put in $900/month for escrow but luckily an analysis showed I was paying too much and it dropped $500. Then I got the tax bill this year and was $2000 off, so it's going up again next year. lol
