GOP underperforms again as Democrats use abortion, turnout to win marquee 2023 elections : Conservative

No one has correctly diagnosed the problem. The GOP got crushed in New Jersey, where the party has been polling well and making gains in registered voters, and abortion is not on the ballot. We got crushed because Democrats bank their votes early and Republicans don't. Then on Election Day, Democrats focus all their efforts on low propensity voters, who they can identify because they know who hasn't returned a ballot yet. Meanwhile, the GOP has to focus on everyone. Guess who is going to do better? Historically, Republicans usually performed better in off cycle elections because their voters turned out more reliably than Democrats. Early voting wipes out that advantage and flips it to Democrats. If we don't play the game we will continue to get crushed. Republicans in California and New York played the game in 2022 and did well. We need to copy those state parties, or we die, plain and simple.

No, don't you know it's because of the 1:00am ballot dumps man! Come on it couldn't possibly be a failure of our party to be effective since we put a bunch of morons in charge!
