Also, the initial theory was that he was a mentally unstable drug addict so him turning around and saying "g*mergate made me do it in 2023" is a bit weird. It's like when those kids were coached to say "GTA made me shoot at cars on the highway" to get a reduced sentence except in this case he made it worse.
