SSDs don't have moving parts and works like a flash drive, while HDDs use physical disks that move. SSDs are faster than HDDs and just as cheap.
i've had people disagree with me on this, but from what I can tell its impossible to fully wipe memory off of an SSD without destroying it physically. You can run programs like bleachbit to fully wipe data from HDDs. I can't prove it, but i suspect thats why the
guy uses HDDs
