I just got recommended video from Unlearning Economics (lol guess his politics) after watching a video on Ignaz Semmelweis.

just gotta constantly delete history or for me I just rotate accounts, few of them keep the history but the rest just get reset like once a month cuz the recommendeds get absurd

I tried history disabled and it just recommends me the most disrespectful slop
I usually start off a fresh history with muting/blocking/whatever they call it, until it just shows me some decent creators / channels and then I ride the high tide which actually tends to be pretty nice while it lasts
Of course it degrades back into slop after a few weeks then I just reboot. But I've found some very cool channels this way so it works for me

Every few months Youtube gets it right for me (old propaganda videos, Mitchell and Webb clips, and Dankpods) then I watch 10 seconds of some mainstream tuber drama and it all goes down the drain
