It's hard to know wtf is really going on with this stuff because the vigilantes are often being armed and paid by the rival cartel. So there's a gray area where you don't know how much they're just normal people and how much they're cartel gangsters themselves.
That's what I find interesting about Lebanon. Everyone has been interviewed and explained what their motives were. In Mexico they kill all journ*lists so we'll never know
