Unfortunately, the clock is ticking
The hours are going by. The past increases, the future recedes. Possibilities decreasing, regrets mounting.
Do you understand?
Good on Kelloggvs tbh, strikes are the most r-slurred things.
You signed a contract in which you agreed to your working conditions, what you are paid and your benefits. Then 2 years later you realize that you were an r-slur to accept the companies terms and decide you should have the right to stop working until your new demands are met.
I know wagies are r-slurred but this is stupid even by their standards.
They're definitely currently automated as much as they can be, but industrial food processing is a notoriously difficult business to get 100% automated. just look at how that pizza robot company crashed and burned.

“Ode To A Scab by Jack London
After God had finished the rattlesnake, the toad, and the vampire, He had some awful substance left with which He made a scab. A scab is a two-legged animal with a corkscrew soul, a waterlogged brain, and a combination backbone made of jelly and glue. Where others have hearts, he carries a tumor of rotten principles.
When a scab comes down the street, men turn their backs and angels weep in heaven, and the devil shuts the gates of heck to keep him out. No man has a right to scab as long as there is a pool of water deep enough to drown his body in, or a rope long enough to hang his carcass with. Judas Iscariot was a gentleman compared with a scab. For betraying his Master, he had character enough to hang himself. A scab hasn’t.
Esau sold his birthright for a mess of pottage. Judas Iscariot sold his savior for thirty pieces of silver. Benedict Arnold sold his country for a promise of a commission in the British Army. The modern strikebreaker sells his birthright, his country, his wife, his children, and his fellow men for an unfulfilled promise from his employer, trust, or corporation.”

Maybe, I thought that statement was that the permanent employees already had better pay and benefits compared to the temporary ones. Kinda ambiguously worded

So what happened is they're giving employees exactly what was asked for, but just not the ones who whined about it? That's hilarious honestly.

This might have been the sticking point, although I guess most permanent positions should be better in that regard just by definition.
