I've never understood how false confessions are a thing?
Like how do you say something to police you know is BS and fricks you up?

A lot of these false confessions are from people who are quite stupid. One that always stuck with me was the detective telling the guy to stand up and accept responsibility for what he did and the guy literally stood up.

they literally convinced him that it was a repressed memory forgotten bc it was so traumatic, they also threatened to have his dog euthenized and wouldbt let him have his medication while they interrogated him for 17 hours straight.
