Traditionally, Bong politics runs in a 10-15 year cycle of one party being in power while the other one collapses as it dashes to the margins before centering itself in time for the collapse of the other party.
See 1979-1997: Tories in power; Labor goes full Durutti Column and three leaders (Kinnock, Smith and Blair) have to steer back to the center. 1997-2012: Labor in power Tories go full Oswald Mosely until Cameron steers them back to the center. 2012-2024: Tories in power; Labor goes full Josef Stalin.

This is generally true but ignores the Tories were in power just recently being helmed by those "margins". Badenoch can't realistically be claimed to be any more extreme than Truss for example. (The media will very well try though).
