Screwball (not to be confused with Skrewdriver) is a relatively obscure rap group from the late 90s. Half of them are dead because they are real BIPOCs. Those of you who are astute may see some indication that this is a true example of the Queensbridge style.
This is exemplary of east coast rap from basically the middle of the golden age. My own tastes are decidedly west coast, and often run more into G-funk than true rap. However, this album is worth a listen, as it is truly a masterpiece. The rhymes and delivery speak to a practiced group of masterminds, but without delving too far into ultimate lyrical polish, a la GZA does at times. It's dirty, it's hard, and it's good. I hope you enjoy this album. Please DM me rap albums to listen to so we can upset the honkeys by posting some hardcore shit.
