Once you're out of desperate poverty, you don't fantasize about riches. A nice home loving family and friends and seeing people not suffering nor having to worry about others' suffering is all people want. Also: you're lying if you would look at food insecure child due to wealth inequality and be like "yes 3 year old, you are hungry and crying, but your parents being envious of people that can feed their families is annoying and worse!"
