It's especially funny to me when redditors cope with people who are goth/punk and hold neo-nazi etc. beliefs and say that all those subcultures are fundamentally liberal and those aren't "real punks/goths/whatever". They literally cannot comprehend or accept that something they enjoy/something cool can be made by someone who has radically different or even "bad" beliefs. This is why they also struggle so much with Lovecraft. They love the stories, mythos and aesthetic, but have to flagellate themselves every time that he was le racist and had "outdated" views.

Nazi punks literally existed for decades, not to mention shit like Burzum or countless edgy black metal/goth etc. bands.
