I’m a and my tastes were groomed by /mu/ and related outlets (rym, Needledrop, a good bit of r/*heads subs).
In the past 3ish years I’ve found myself unable to handle “experimental” or “noisy” bands. I used to enjoy just throwing on Sunn and chilling but now I’d rather listen to Steve Winwood.
I can’t put my finger on it exactly but it seems to be a mix of not having the patience for atonal music or really over listen to someone drone on about how life sucks.
Another big change is I can’t listen to a lot of politics heavy music. I think I’m realizing being good at music is probably antithetical to having fleshed out political opinions. Being masterful at communicating universal human experiences like love seems like a much more worthy goal than singing about how incels are bad.
Anybody else have a big shift in their music tastes over time?

It is one of Queen's best-loved songs but Fat Bottomed Girls has been mysteriously dropped from the group's new Greatest Hits collection.
The 1978 track, which was written by guitarist Brian May, has been enjoyed by generations of fans as a humorous and hard-rocking tribute to a young man's appreciation of fuller-figured ladies.
But 45 years later, it appears that lyrics such as 'left alone with big fat Fanny, she was such a naughty nanny, big woman, you made a bad boy out of me' and 'fat bottomed girls, you make the rockin' world go round' have been hit by the woke cancel culture.
It was such a popular hit for Queen that it appeared fourth on the band's original 1981 greatest hits album along with Bohemian Rhapsody, Don't Stop Me Now and We Will Rock You.
But last week it was nowhere to be seen when Universal Records announced they would be releasing a version of the record on Yoto, the new audio platform aimed at young people.
The move has left music industry insiders bemused, with bosses insisting that Fat Bottomed Girls has wrongly been singled out as it is 'merely a bit of fun'.
One told The Mail on Sunday: 'It is the talk of the music industry, nobody can work out why such a good-natured, fun song can't be acceptable in today's society.
'It is woke gone mad. Why not appreciate people of all shapes and sizes like society is saying we should, rather than get rid of it.
It's outrageous.' Fat Bottomed Girls has long sparked debate about the suitability of its lyrics, and the promotional material that accompanied the release.
The original sleeve for the song, which was taken from Queen's album Jazz, featured a scantily clad female riding a bicycle but was altered after some stores refused to stock it.
The new version was the same image with knickers drawn over the woman.
May told Mojo magazine in 2008: 'I wrote it with Fred in mind, as you do, especially if you've got a great singer who likes fat bottomed girls... or boys.'
The newly released Yoto greatest hits album, released in collaboration with Queen's record label Universal, is aimed at introducing the band to a younger audience.

What gem of an album. The little interactions Johnny has with the inmates and them hollering and cheering at all the despicable parts of the lyrics is just great.

What happened to your backup Josh? Is it down? Did you get any responses back?
Or is your site down for a reason and you fricked up?
Not sure what else I can do at this point to simply put that Josh is going through something brought about by his jannies, users and the lolcows he has. He flew too close to the sun while doing creepy shit and hiding secrets. Sneed.

Original Song sampled from is George Duke's "Reach Out". Sadly I don't like that song (DESPITE IT BEING A BANGER) as it has like two lines that imply the whole thing is about cheating on some unnamed dude. Poor Guy. Literally, could'a changed/removed only two lines and boom, cheating implication gone. Sigh.

DETAILS: Is Pusha T a victim of a mysterious bot army that's posting malicious tweets about him❓❓
— XXL Magazine (@XXL) July 16, 2023
Inquiring minds want to knowhttps://t.co/aYYezAtFCV
https://www.xxlmag.com/pusha-t-victim-bot-army-malicious-tweets/
On Saturday (July 15), Twitter user Kurrco brought to people's attention that a secretive bot army is posting defamatory tweets about Pusha T. Some of the off-color messages are slanderous and evil. Mysteriously, there seems to be no reasoning behind these tweets aimed at the Virginia rhymer.
Here's a sampling of the crazy tweets:
"Pusha T collects salamanders and impregnates them during the summer [sunshine emoji]," read one strange tweet.
Another weird message reads: "Pusha T sold coke to my little cousin in 3rd grade."
And this tweet appears to be in jest but it's still kind of inflammatory: "Pusha T don’t do nothing but brush his braids, love his wife, and sell cocaine to the community and folk stay attacking fam. Let the man deal in peace. [three crying emojis]."
I will not stand for this Pusha slander

a song whose feature is it's unsearchable and cannot be uttered in any meaningful sense, therefore: make it enormously popular. that was the logic when I saw it at the monastery, and I believe it holds.
