I didn't mind the language thing. It made no sense, but then again, nothing ever makes sense on Star Trek.
I have two problems with that episode:
1. they couldn't afford a monster so they just said "oh it turns out the monster is invisible."
2. Troi and Data (!) had to invent the concept of cross-referencing in real time.

I know it was a good troi episode. Whoda thought
