They're mentally teenagers at best. Their political philosophy starts with "America bad, actually" because they want to be contrarian and then they backwards justify this belief through whatever lens they happen to want/whatever is trendy. It can be woke, antiwoke, far left, far right, libertarian, authoritarian, really anything.
