Comic books have zero consistent canon, the stories are always stretched out 100 times longer than they actually can write interesting shit about totally different caped heros

At least anime normally finishes a story after 12 or 24 episodes, westerns could take notes there

Not any more, these days they use the first 12 or 24 episodes to establish that they might have a story, then the next set faffs about and does nothing with it, and then maybe the third advances things a little so the audience doesn't entirely give up, and then this repeats until the whole series either turns into 100+ episodes or people move on to something else

That's assuming they even have a story at all, lots of them are basically just sitcoms
