one time my vps was used in a ddos. looking shit up the attackers used a phpmyadmin vuln (didn't update for a few days) and got access. they used irc and made my vps join a irc server. the guys spoke romanian - not 1337 - when I joined.

they were not communicative, so everything fizzled out.
