sometimes I wonder if DARPA has an SDI-esque program cooking so even if nukes were launched it would be a nothingburger. kind of feel like they do, how hard can it be to intercept 6000 icbms?

One of my kid friend's dads was a nuclear engineer for GE and actually worked on SDI back in the day, said it was the coolest thing he ever got to work on.
