I've seen this before, it reminded me of wireworld (especially the way clock circuits are made), but unfortunately he made a comment saying it probably won't make logic gates (although he didn't try it in the video).

i like this guy,chill and informative. plus a lot of his demos are mechanics so he's able to give explanations without it being hand wavy that a lot of other pop-sci falls into
