Ay least NFTs have a potential use for securitization of fungible assets. I can envision a trading card game where if you want to enter official tournaments you gotta have the NFTs proving you own sanctioned cards and aren't just using excellent proxies

We have AI now, so the grifters have moved on from calling everything blockchain, to everything AI. Let me introduce you to Delvin, your AI Software Engineer*.

How do crypto people not understand that the only difference between crypto and not crypto is that one is decentralized and one is centralized? Anything you can do with crypto tech wise you can do without, and easier on top of it, without any issues.
Blockchain can't really do anything better than a trusted authority can do with traditional infrastructure. It's too secure to the point that it has zero scalability and all the scaling solutions end up being "we'll just have a trusted authority do most of the work off-chain"

Star citizen proves nfts are bullshit, star citizen spaceship jpgs do everything nfts are supposed to do (let people scam each other for ridiculous money) without using blockchain at all
Exactly, it's an unfinished piece of shit and forever will be. It's barely even an alpha. The only thing making it worth buying the base pack, is to grief the strags that spent $1000+ on pixels.
The game itself griefs citizens, if you want to be bored for an hour and then watch someone get mad when they are killed for no reason just watch a stream, no need to pay $40

This is a good grift, but nothing will top Star Citizen in terms of selling pure bullshit.
At least here you get something tangible. Those r-slurs were/are paying thousands for something that may never fully materialize.

Have you seen the cybertruck?
NFTs dramatically improved on the getting people to pay idiotic money for a jpg grift too.
