I don't get this bug thing.
They are inefficient all things considered. The chitin is inedible, and they are too small to peel, so you are consuming lots of useless filler with each bug.
Even vegan diet seems more nutritionally efficient.

Animal by-products and inedible parts are also used in a ton of different products. We actually do a better job of "using the whole animal" than the indigenous hunters libs lionize so much, to the extent that even vegans have to admit it's basically impossible to fully excise it from your life. Food waste is probably the biggest issue, eating ze bugs doesn't really solve that either.
