Saars :marseychudindian: :marseypajeet: approve 4 major Space Programs and increase ISRO's budget for their Human Spaceflight program.

The Barathiya Space Station will be a thing in the 2030s.

@Sasanka_of_Gauda can you ping your fellow countrymen?

Also in development there's a Venus Orbiter mission, a Lunar sample return mission and a partially reusable rocket.

Jokes aside, becoming the 4th country to achieve human spaceflight is quite impressive. Not even ESA nor JAXA have its own human spaceflight capabilities.

I wish Brazil had an agency like ISRO with equally ambitious goals.

You guys at least have Embraer, which is pretty crazy all things considered. I know they're a private company but that's impressive in its own right.

Yes it is :#marseyplane:

Embraer started as a mixed company (half of it was owned by the federal government) during the dictatorship. It was privatized in the 90s but it still has cool projects. The government was never interested in developing a national fighter jet which is a shame 'cause maybe some partnership Embraer-Dassault or Embraer-Saab could deliver it.

Well, at least Saab gave Brazil full tech transfer and the Gripens will be built in Brazil. 🇧🇷

Gripens are pretty cool from what I understand, just a bit expensive.

I'm just wondering what Brazil needs more military tech for. Venezuela?

It's 200 million inhabitants country, we gotta have some decent defense just in case, even the Canadians have fighters. The order is for only 36 Gripens. It was actually the cheapest option, the other two were the F/A-18 Super Hornet and the Dassault Rafale, plus the Gripens are being produced in Brazil thanks to a technology transfer agreement with Saab, this wouldn't have been possible with the deals offered by Dassault and Boeing (I imagine the american DoD would never allow it).

Thats because Yuros are lazy and soft.

Jeets while wildly shitty and wildly r*pey aren't anywhere near as lazy as the Yuros.

SK and Japan don't have a human spaceflight program either though.

I really don't understand why Japan didn't develop its own shuttle, they have a quite robust Space Program with interesting probes and yet it stagnated like their economy.

We have better things to spend on our money on. Like fleecing Mayos with our cultural exports.

Shout out to the CCP for ruining Chinese Culture so hard that Jap and Gook culture sunk its fangs into the Chinese zeitgeist.

Bong Joon-Ho and the showrunners of Squid Game should unironically be sent to the Okja slaughter-house and be turned into dog food.

Bong Joon-Ho would have gotten lynched in commie-bashing times.

:marseyill: I kinda assumed most first world countries had space programs

Is the ISS seriously just burgers, moskals, and chinx?

No, China is not part of the ISS program as NASA is banned by law to co-operate with the chinks. Instead China has its own Space Station, Tiangong.

ESA, JAXA and the Canadian Space Agency are part of the ISS program, there's an European module at the station along a Japanese module and the Canadarm (leaf robotic arm), however they don't have human spaceflight capabilities, ESA and Japan have rockets but they don't have crewed spacecraft to shuttle astronauts. So europoor, leafs and jap astronauts must take a ride either with NASA through SpaceX or with the Russians to get to the Space Station.
