Went to east Texas last week for some chili cookoff.

Decided to spend the rest of the day checking out a nearby state park. It was too hot so we didn't catch anything, but it was nice being away from the city a bit.

Only had nibbles but didn't end up hooking anything - too hot still to catch anything good.

I didn't take photos at the chili cookoff because it was so packed and I didn't think to take photos of the little chili cups. :marseybottom:

I think there were like 80 chili stands but I tapped out after about 10 of them.

Most of them were pretty awful. There was one with some large chunks of brisket that wasn't bad though.
