Sheep are quite possibly the dumbest animals in the entire world. They're nothing like the adorable fluffy clouds of kids' books - they're smelly, dirty, loud, and above all stupid. They get their heads stuck in fences because they want to eat the grass on the other side, then struggle against you when you try and help them disentangle their head even though they're incapable of doing it themselves. They either have no sense of self preservation and will run over to see if you have food, or they're so frightened of everything that they basically can't function if something that's not a sheep is in the field with them. When they're being sheared they act like you're trying to murder them, then as soon as their coat is gone they're happily trotting around feeling better, but they'll never connect the two. Same if they get an injured hoof - they'll be struggling to walk but will they let you deal with it? Will they frick. They think you're trying to hurt them more, not help them.
On top of everything, their meat is by far the worst of all the animals raised for foodstock, and with the price of wool these days it's basically impossible to make money off them that way too.
