Why do burgers call their main dishes 'entrees'?
Its like they wanna sound fancy, so they use big words without knowing what they mean.

Don't know what to tell you. English borrows a lot of words from the Frenchies. I personally delight in knowing we bastardize the pronunciation and that probably pisses them off.

Its not the pronunciation, I dont care about french and bastardizing it is a good thing, but entree means starter, it makes no sense to call your main dish an entree. Like its literally in the word.
