Wagie lament
Sounds bad. What the heck happened, champ? I'll break down his wall of text:
Lol unexpected but here goes. I'm management at a business supply store and I make $17/h while working 50-55 hours a week.
He's talking about Staples. When's the last time anyone has stepped in there?
So since I can't afford an obnoxiously small 500sqft 2 bedroom apartment for $1000-$1300/m I spend (usually) just under $1800 for this crack motel that's perpetually moist, loud, and rundown. EXCEPT I live in a college town with no car so our football games are back on so just for yesterday alone I was price gouged $280+ because quote “I can”. So I have recently had about $20 to get me thru the week.
Let me try to understand: this man does not have a car so he would prefer to live in a motel within walking distance. Motel rooms aren't much bigger; seriously I do not understand his logic at all
“Why haven't you used our store share fund?” Probably because they basically told me to go frick myself twice already. What am I gonna do? Find a better paying job? Not around here. Move out of the city? I have no car and refuse to walk on the side of the interstate for miles on end (which I'd assume is illegal anyway and for a brown man in this shit hole of a C*NTtry I'd like to stay away from police) to get to the job that clearly hates the people that work there.
Poor man. Before you chuds get uppity: if you haven't caught on yet, he likes to make excuses for everything so invoking his race card is just eyerolling He's Irish/Mexican by the way
Plus they still WANT not NEED you to make 3 TIMES the rent. THEY ARE EXPECTING PEOPLE WHO MAKE LAWYER MONEY TO WANT TO LIVE THERE.
Forgot about that rule I can sympathize with him here...well, it isn't much of a rule. I wonder if something else is afoot
Again…. I'm not asking for the fricking world, just a tiny butt apartment I could call my “own”. Thanks for coming to my shitty rant lol at least feels good to get it out. I appreciate your time.
Sidenote: “how are you homeless if you're employed?” Was that an actual question? Or a little sass? Because honestly I see it either way lol
No comment. Maybe he wishes he has that Hotwheels money right about now?

How long has he been in this situation? Not long from what I can tell; the first mention of homelessness was a couple months ago and older posts show pictures from what appears to be a garage. In this post, he is referring to himself and others; I could only find a mention of a future wife a couple years ago, which leads me to believe they moved in together at some point.
On that first mention of homelessness:
Yeah you're fricked. I doubt your income is the issue. Have you ever had a license? Bank account and credit??
These are all good questions
More on the woman:
Did you notice something? He's a huge stoner
Analysis
Moved in with his gf at some point
Is 29 years old and seems predisposed to work wagie jobs (previously at Family Dollar) (more rage ]
Split up a few months ago and moved out
Trying to scrape by, using methods like ordering DoorDash
I think he is on the east coast and the county he lives in starts with a "P". He mentions Wawa in one comment, which appears to be a east coast chain, which leaves only six some states he could be in. Plus, he probably lives near a college. Why can't people redact private information properly?
Not very much is interesting about him in his other posts; just typical reddit-tier opinions.

This is probably regional but many landlords and especially larger property management firms will require proof 2.5x or 3x of rent as pre-tax income (often by showing a pay stub).

I'm well aware and he's definitely fricked. That same post
he goes on about getting a licensehe never answers that commenter's question. Either way I agree he's definitely fricked.Jump in the discussion.

$17/hr for 50hrs/week is $3740/month pre tax. That meets the 3x's level. Also if it's a college town probably pretty easily to find a roommate. Something smells fishy here.

The modern youth don't seem to grasp the concept of a room mate. They will make excuses about not knowing anyone….words words words. B-word, you go to the apartment and they match you with a room mate in a college town. All these neighbors demand a 2 bedroom apartment also, you notice. What's wrong with a bedroom and shared kitchen?

The Bible tells us to be in the world, not of the world (John 15:19). We are called to be salt and light (Matthew 5:13-16), nooticers of Christ in a dark and lost world. The youth of today refuse to put themselves in a position where they would be forced to nootice the lost and broken around them. They would rather be comfortable and safe in their little bubbles. But comfort and safety are not what Christ calls us to. He calls us to love others, even our enemies (Matthew 5:44). He calls us to go into the world and preach the gospel to all nations (Mark 16:15). The time is coming when people will no longer be able to hide from the truth. They will have to face the consequences of their actions. And, as Christians, we need to be ready to share the hope that we have in Christ with those who are lost and broken.

I'm guessing funkos or doordash. Probably the latter if he's living in the motel room.
