>I used to work as a secretary at a Law Firm and they even asked me one night at drinks which school I went to. When I said the name of the public school I went to they said " but you speak so well I would never have guessed" .

To be fair that was my experience too at uni. Doesn't matter though, I kicked the shit out of the private school kids academically...but then again they're loaded for life so I think that's just :marseycope: from me.

idk anythg abt privates we only have a k-6 one but any "inner city" school we interacted with was shit

in marchig band we played against a couple city schools and its an abomination on the ears (and marching bands generally don't sound great to begin with)

they football teams were also wretched

that being said these weren't prestigious institutions. you could tell by the ... socioeconomic factors

you could tell clearly from the other side of the stadium... :marseyoperasmug:

none of the big rich schools came anywhere near our disctrict lol. (actual socioeconomic factors)

Having a swim meet against Chicago Public Schools was something else. Legit saw a coach throw a lifeguard buoy at one of his varsity swimmers because the dude was going to drown.

Where I grew up the comprehensive that I went to was better academically than all of the (many) private schools in the area, purely because the catchment area was devoid of poors

I remember the private school girls were so snooty they wouldn't even dance with you if you were a public school.

Unless you said you were a varsity sports guy in a letterman.
