Hello, welcome to 'I see the poors are pretending to be big wallet gangstas again'
This hole exists as a safe space for refugees from the Facebook(MetaTM groups of the same name. Of which there have been several iterations. We mostly exist to poke fun at the state of living in poverty. While it oftentimes is unavoidable, we do aspire to not be meanspirited. Over the years we have co-opted the term 'Peak Poor' to being someone who exudes poverty, regardless of their actual net worth. Trump and Elon both exhibit the peak poor ethos from time to time while still being the top 0.000001%. You can do something peak poor and still be a good person or a generally adjusted one. We all have a bit of poor in us.
We basically fill a niche similar to fatpeoplehate with a bit less actual malice.
PeakPoor is shotgunning mountain dews at 5 years old.
PeakPoor is not people dying of poverty. While technically the greatest heights of poverty is succumbing to it this is not funny, and is a failure
of capitalism. We do not make fun of poverty to be mean spirited such as that.
Read the room, if it's punching down too hard or really digging into someone whos a sympathetic character it doesn't belong here. (basically READ THE ROOM)

I don't know that anyone's applauding it, but he's also right about time.
I wouldn't lose my shit at a restaurant or anything, but poor people waste time to an outrageous degree. Just try giving shit away on Facebook someday.
I'm more annoyed about a Standup comedian trying to gloat over this. 'My grind was getting wasted every night, sleeping until 2 PM, and being broke AF until I caught some of the money Netflix hemorrhages on mediocrity' is a really stupid high horse to be on.

Poor people will wait in line all day to get a free t-shirt. They will max-out a credit card buying PS4s, camping out for whole weeks in front of Target, so as to scalpmaxx them for a net $100 profit (ideally).
I remember hearing some poor homeless lady telling someone about how she really liked watching 24, but couldn't afford the DVDs after season 3, but she's hoping to save up enough money to buy them new at Walmart soon because she hates used stuff cos it's icky.
Poor people do not value time or money.
I will say I just started a Rich Eisen clip with Gronk and Edelman, and I couldn't get past two minutes because for some reason Burt and Tom Segura are there comparing Tom Brady to Joe Rogan and squealing like pigs and drunkenly caterwauling at their own inexplicable success.
So after that experience, I am officially on team poorpeople, and I will now start trying to win iPod Nanos by filling out online surveys, and start writing giant screeds about wealth inequality despite knowing nothing about stocks or interest rates or math or numbers.

It actually isn't even entirely their fault that they're so impulsive and make so many poor decisions; IQ has been shown to drop an entire standard deviation for struggling poors, due to the various stressors they have to deal with such as being unable to make ends meet. So their lower IQ selves naturally make even more dumb decisions and perpetuate their wretched loop.

I don't know much about him. Ive seen a few of his ealier specials (pretty good [BIKES!]). My brother in law recommended his podcast. The podcast was mostly his dumb butt wife (not a famous comedian) interjecting with the most "I'M NOT LIKE THE OTHER GIRLS
" shit. I didn't like it.
