It's a fundamentally weird post because by OP's admission they're asking a western audience to judge a situation in a country with very different views on how to handle family disputes. Of course a bunch of zoomers and cat ladies are going to think that you can frick over your elders for almost any provocation. If you care about what Redditors think of you more than your actual local/ethnic community, then fine - you have your peace of mind and you can live with that.
