The above pretty much sums up why I think Democrats who support higher taxes are either ridiculously naive or else corrupt beyond belief, as once a government crosses a certain threshold of corruption, the vast majority of taxpayer $$$ will inevitably be misallocated and/or misused.

Shoving more money at a problem will only serve to exacerbate matters, if the people being relied upon to solve said problem happen to be compromised.

If you're a leader and you want more power, would you rather be seen in charge of a small organization or a big one?

If you're a leader allocating budget to sub-orgs beneath you, are you gonna give first dibs to the 12 man team or the 300 man megastructure?

Everyone is incentivized to do as little as possible with as many resources as possible, when there's no hard need to perform.
